For enhanced reliability, the AEC-Q200-qualified capacitors offer very low impedance down to 23mΩ at 100kHz and a high rated ripple current to 2,000mA at +150°C.

Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a new series of automotive-grade radial aluminium capacitors that features high-temperature operation up to +150°C and a useful life to 2,000 hours at +150°C to provide high stability and reliability for automotive and industrial applications.

The Vishay BCcomponents 160 RLA series is available in 10 case sizes from 10mm x 12mm to 18mm x 35mm. For enhanced reliability, the AEC-Q200-qualified capacitors offer very low impedance down to 23mΩ at 100kHz, a high rated ripple current to 2,000mA at +150°C, and a capacitance range from 33µF to 3300µF over a voltage range of 16V to 50V.

As polarised aluminium electrolytic capacitors with non-solid electrolytes, self-healing dielectrics, and radial leads, the 160 RLA series devices are ideally specified for smoothing, filtering, and buffering in SMPS and DC/DC power supplies. The RoHS-compliant capacitors feature a cylindrical aluminium case with pressure relief—insulated with a blue PET sleeve—and are charge- and discharge-proof, so there is no peak current limitation.

Samples and production quantities of the 160 RLA series are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.
