Keysight sets up RF centre at Vignan University

The centre, a first for Keysight Technologies in the Andhra Pradesh region, will cost ₹11.2 crore and provide technical support, RF certification and student internship.

Keysight Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish an RF and wireless Centre of Excellence at Vignan University in Vadlamudi, Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.

The centre, a first for Keysight in the Andhra Pradesh region, will cost ₹11.2 crore and provide technical support, RF certification and student internship. Keysight will also donate equipment to the centre as part of its university relations programme.

The centre will use Keysight's equipment for system level design and measurement of wireless technologies, including vector signal generators, signal analysers, mixed signal oscilloscopes, logic analysers, vector network analysers and EDA software tools such as ADS, SystemVue and EMPro.

"Vignan University will leverage our knowledge and benefit from our experience in high-technology areas to enhance their programme offerings and deliver value in their PG/Ph.D. programmes, differentiating them from other institutions," said V.V. Pathy, Keysight Technologies India education business development manager.

Established in 1997, Vignan University aspires to become a pioneer in engineering education and research field by providing a platform for quality engineering education. The university is an institute located in a rural area near the capital of Amaravathi.
