Article By : Momo Zhong

The continued listing of major brands of 5G devices is reshaping the Chinese smartphone market.

The third quarter has always been the traditional peak season for consumer electronics in China. After half a year of market downturn, major mobile phone manufacturers are looking forward to using 5G communication products to reactivate consumer enthusiasm. First-tier manufacturers including Huawei and Samsung Electronics will release new 5G mobile phones in August, and the entire consumer electronics industry chain is expected to enter the peak of stocking.

At the same time, influenced by external factors, the concept of China's smartphone industry chain's self-controllability has gradually advanced. With the recent launch of Huawei's operating system, the consumer electronics industry chain is expected to continue to become the focus of the market in the third quarter.

Major brands of 5G mobile phones continue to be listed

There were 34.2 million smartphones shipped in China in July, down 7.5% compared with last year, according to China Telecomtsu. A total of 36 models of smartphones were launched in July, according to the same report, down 44.6% year-on-year.

Samsung S10 5G, Note10, A90

As early as April this year, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G took the lead in South Korea. It is reported that the phone was sold in South Korea for only 80 days, and the total sales volume exceeded 1 million units. Samsung also said the Galaxy S10 5G will be sold in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, mainly through cooperation with major local operators.

Samsung has not announced the exact time for listing in China, but launched the 5G Pioneer Experience Program, which enables a 4G mobile phone that meets the standard to be redeemed for 5G models after the 5G mobile phone is released.

Xiaomi's first 5G mobile phone

Last week, Xiaomi announced that it will release Xiaomi's second 5G flagship phone in the near future, but did not announce its specific product name. Some netizens reported that the handset will be known "Millet 9s," but this is unconfirmed.

According to a listing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, only the model number of the phone can be seen, M1908F1XE, and the charging power is 45W. For this phone, there are two two theories in the industry: one is that Xiaomi will release a new version of the flagship MIX4, and the other is that it will be an upgraded version of the Xiaomi 9. From the current information, the latter may be larger. It is worth noting that the previous product model has the word 5G, but the Millet 9S does not; therefore, it is speculated that the Millet 9S will be a product compatible with 4G and 5G networks.

One plus 5G mobile phone will be sold in the U.S.

In addition, there is a “small and beautiful” domestic mobile phone manufacturer that is supplying 5G mobile phones to the foreign mobile phone market. On August 6, U.S. mobile operator Sprint announced that it will launch a 5G smartphone produced by China OnePlus, but did not disclose the time to market and its price. U.S. media said that one plus 5G smartphone will become the fourth 5G device of Sprint after LG V50, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and HTC 5G Hub.
